A captive crowd during the Emergency Oxygen provider Instructor course
All four of them, Florence, David, Dan and Paden participated in the Deep-, DUP-, Nitrox
- and Emergency Oxygen provider Instructor level specialty courses and Florence and David also participated in the Night Diver Instructor course. Matt, from the August 2012 IDC on Gili Air
left his new work environment on Gili Meno for a few days so he could participate in the Deep Diver Instructor course.
Manta shrimp during the DUP or Digital Underwater Photography Specialty Instructor course at Hans Reef near Gili Air
We had some great dive sand enjoyed the relaxed environment of Gili Air and it's enticing dive sites very much! The dive locations visited were Suraya, Simon's, Hans Reef and Oceans 5 House reef. All great locations, each with it's distinctive and specific reason to go there.
Ornate Ghost Pipefish during the DUP or Digital Underwater Photography Specialty Instructor course at Hans Reef near Gili Air
The diving around Gili Air
is spectacular and I can only urge to come here and check it out. From the big 'stuff' like sharks and occasional Manta Rays and Bumpheads to the small creatures like robust ghost pipefish or bobtail squid, it's all out there to be discovered and found.
My first Snow Flake Eel at Hans reef
Dan during the Deep diver Instructor specialty, trying to destroy the evidence of the pressure related sample at 28 meters; the egg!
During the night dive at Oceans 5 House reef we encountered this bob tail squid, very small but cute and colorful
This blenny was peeping out of his hiding place during our night dive
Good times were had by all of us and if this appeals to you, I offer Specialty Instructor training after all my IDC programs and as of 2013 I should also be able to offer the (initially only) recreational Side mount diver
level and instructor courses and hopefully in the near future also the Tec side mount courses.
Hope to see you there.
