It's the time of the year to be looking back at the dive year 2015. It was not as busy as previous years for me with 8 PADI IDC's, but as each year, I came around and went places. Koh Lanta, Khao Lak and Phuket were on my list if places to teach at the West coast and in the Gulf of Thailand I was teaching on home ground; Koh Samui and in the Philippines I went to Moalboal three times this year.
I welcomed students from the USA, Switzerland, France, the UK, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Australia, Japan, Finland, Sweden and the Netherlands.
If you're interested in one of my PADI IDC's next year, please have a look at my PADI IDC schedule for 2016 and let me know if you have any questions.
Many thanks to the PADI 5* IDC Centers I worked with this year, 'Blue Planet Divers' on Koh Lanta, 'Sea Dragon' in Khao Lak, 'Kiwidiver' on Phuket, 'Easy Divers' on koh Samui and 'Neptune Diving Adventure' in Moalboal, Philippines.
PADI Specialty Instructor training in Moalboal, Philippines
Earlier this month, we completed PADI Specialty Instructor training in Moalboal, Philippines in conjunction with PADI 5* IDC Center 'Neptune Diving Adventure' at Panagsama Beach, near Moalboal.
Me, Mattias, Kristian and Thomas after the Emergency Oxygen Provider Instructor training
All three candidates, Mattias, Kristian and Thomas, from the November 2015 PADI IDC in Moalboal in the Philippines participated in the same training and all three walked away with 7 PADI Specialty Instructor ratings after the PADI Specialty Instructor training in Moalboal, Philippines was completed.
A very big sponge crab, spotted during the night dive instructor specialty training
We completed the Night dive-, Deep dive-, Digital Underwater Photography-, Nitrox or Enriched Air-, Underwater Naturalist-, Underwater Navigation-, and Emergency Oxygen Provider Instructor Specialty training over a couple of relaxed days of diving.

What helps is that the dive sites around Panagsama beach are not far away, the furthest away dive site is just 20 to 25 minutes away by boat, including Pescador island. where we did one of the deep dives, surrounded by fantastic coral and fish.
Underwater Navigation training on land, learning how to handle the compass correctly
We also dived extensively on the house reef as part of the PADI Specialty Instructor training in Moalboal, Philippines, which hosts a sardine ball, with a couple of 100.000 sardines moving all at the same time in the same direction, a very impressive sight. Not to mention that on almost every dive you can spot green turtles as well and if you're really lucky, you may spot a thresher shark.

A ball was had by all during the PADI Specialty Instructor training in Moalboal, Philippines and now all three of them are busy teaching in Moalboal, and picking up their share of PADI certifications.
My next PADI IDC starts 12th January 2016 on Koh Lanta, Thailand in conjunction with PADI 5* IDC Center 'Blue Planet Divers' in Ban Sala Dan on Koh Lanta. This will also be the first PADI IDC of the year and we have a few confirmations already. Come and join us for a program taught by me, Camille Lemmens, 9 time Platinum PADI Course Director, for an informative, fun laden experience, delivered with great amounts of experience and personal attention, since I work in small groups.
Participating in one of my PADI IDC's can give you a cutting edge in securing a position in the competitive dive industry.
There are still openings for more candidates and it's a great location and opportunity to become a PADI IDC Staff Instructor. The weather should be good that time of the year, the diving is great around Koh Lanta with a good chance of seeing Manta Rays, so what are you waiting for? Please ask me for more information in case you're interested.
The testimonials are coming in fast and hard right now, this is the third one this month and thanks Dax for taking the time out to write this testimonial. That's much appreciated and it's good to see and hear that you're busy teaching out there and had the chance of going on some live aboard trips. Nice one!
Please check below the picture for Dax' testimonial;
After successfully passing the PADI IE, Dax is the second from the right
I've been participating in the November IDC in Khao Lak, with CD Camille Lemmens.
I wanted to do it in Khao Lak, because I have been diving there and would like to work there as well. I found out Camille did an IDC at the start of the season, so a good reason to go!
We were a small group of 3 students, 1 German, 1 Finnish and myself (Dutch)
From the first day on we really had a good IDC, it was both very educational and fun.
Camille really knows what he is doing (and has been doing it for quite some years now).
After 2 weeks of learning and practicing, I was very confident in going into the IE.
(Camille as well)
After the final exams (which we all 3 passed of course!) it was time to do some specialties, and here also the professionalism of Camille was clearly obvious.
Now I already have done 2 liveaboards, and certified my first Open Water and Advanced students.
Thanks Camille, and we will keep in touch!

I entered the IDC in Moalboal, taught by Camille, with little to no expectations. From day one it was clear that this was a serious course, though there where always time for a dive story or a laugh.
We where a small group of three, giving us plenty of time to get feedback from Camille and get individual teaching if needed. The result was that we all passed the IE. I really enjoyed being scored on my performance during the IDC. This made me want to improve even further.
I found this experience really enjoyable, Camille was an excellent teacher and I learned a lot. If you're thinking about doing the IDC - Camille is the guy to contact.
Yesterday the PADI IE in Moalboal, Philippines was very successful for the candidates of Platinum PADI Course Director Camille Lemmens in conjunction with PADI 5* IDC Center 'Neptune Diving Adventure'.
It was a stressful two days for the candidates but they managed to pass all the four segments successfully and are now the newest PADI Instructors on the block for at least a few hours!
From the day one, the only goal is to pass the IE with a good grades. And if you are willing to work for that goal - so is Camille.
He have really good knowledge about what to teach and how to teach it. After that it's up to you how do you do.
On my IDC we had nice small group of three people. The teaching was as individual as it is possible to be. When Camille noticed that we are doing good he pushed forward on full speed. If we had hard times with something, he took the time and explained it so that everybody could understant.
He doesn't make days any longer than they need to be. But he is willing to work even afterhours if you need so.
He's not the guy that you go party with but he is definately the one that you want to do the IDC with.
And now in Finnish;
On sinusta itsestäsi kiinni kuinka pärjäät.

Great stuff Juha, thanks again. If this tweaks your interest in one of my PADI IDC's, the next opportunity will be the first PADI IDC for 2016 and this is scheduled to start 12th January on Koh Lanta, Thailand, followed by 2nd February on Phuket, Thailand and I will be back in Khao Lak, Thailand, where Juha completed his IDC, to start a program 20th February.
See you there,
Testimonial by Juha Heinonen of the November 2015 PADI IDC in Khao Lak
After lots of hard work the PADI IDC in Moalboal in the Philippines for November 2015 has been completed. In conjunction with PADI 5* IDC Center 'Neptune Diving Adventure', we covered a lot of ground during this PADI IDC.

The power point presentations, the candidates classroom presentations, confined and open water dives, theory and standards exams, work shops and lots of discussions, it all came by during this program.

We had a great group and we had a couple of good laughs between us. Thanks to Mattias, Kristian and Thomas and also to Johan for helping out whilst staffing the course.
Tomorrow the PADI IE starts and they should be well prepared and ready to take this next step on successfully. So, ideally, we will have three new PADI Instructors during the afternoon of Thursday, 3rd December. Stay tuned for further updates!
