After the successful
PADI IE in Dauin, Philippines for my candidates, just a mere two days ago, I took the opportunity to attend the PADI Instructor Development Update June 2015 in
Manila, Philippines, on the way out, going home, so to say. I needed to pass through Manila anyway, so stopping for a night or two extra in Manila was not a problem.
The PADI Instructor Development Update June 2015 in Manila, Philippines was held at the Intercontinental Hotel in Makati, and was conducted by Colin Melrose from the Asia Pacific office, He's the regional coordinator and chief of all PADI IE programs and he was assisted by Jimmy Christrup, PADI's Regional Manager in
the Philippines.
Colin starting the Manila 2015 update
For me it was the fifth consecutive attendance at an Instructor Development Update, and after a few locations in Thailand,
Bali in Indonesia, I was happy to be able to attend this update in the Philippines.

Since a few years, the Instructor Development Updates consist of a morning in a conference room and an afternoon in the pool. During the mornings, PADI staff discuss and presents updates and news for the Instructor Development and this year we discussed e-learning options, the new Touch products for tablets and we looked into some DSD options., or rather, on how to control the participants.

This was interesting and despite the small group of attendees, we had some good discussions and we went big time overtime!
In the pool we looked and went through some scenarios, accompanied by evaluation training and more discussions.
A good day and well worth staying over in manila for an extra day. Thanks Colin and Jimmy and ll that showed up and were present.
Come and enjoy one of my up and coming PAD IDC programs, where I will integrate all today's new information into my IDC courses, beginning with 10th June on
Koh Samui, Thailand, followed by 10th July in
Puerto Galera in the Philippines and this is followed by 25th August on
Phuket, Thailand with a German language IDC and English language IDC, conducted by two PADI Course Directors.
See you there,
Camille
