Before you know you're already halfway though the course. Today we reached that mark. We have a great group and we got lots of work already out of the way during this PADI IDC.
Manon showing us her her air depletion skills
Classroom presentations by staff and candidates, skill circuits, rescue exercise # 7, confined water presentations, various workshops have been done already and open water and more workshops and presentations are coming up. It's action packed!

The new air conditioned is brill! we're nicely cooled down when in the meantime the sun is sweltering outside. We also have a baruga net to the classroom so you can relax there during the breaks.

Stay tuned for more updates on this IDC. If you're ready to start fulfilling your dream and become a PADI Instructor, my next IDC program starts 13th March in Phuket, Thailand, followed by a program scheduled to start 8th April on Koh Phangan in Thailand, which is followed by an IDC scheduled to start 2nd May on Gili Air in Indonesia and this is followed by an IDC scheduled start 26th May in Moalboal in the Philippines.
See you there!
February PADI IDC on Gili Air in Indonesia is at the half way mark
Come 25th July I will conduct a PADI IDC in Osan, South Korea again, followed by a PADI IE on 4th and 5th August 2014. It will in conjunction with Allen from Aquatic Frontier. It's really good to back to Korea for an IDC, it's already 3 years ago since when we had our first Western PADI IDC and PADI IE in South Korea.

Yesterday I received an email from PADI, confirming that I reached the Platinum PADI Course Director rating for the 8th consecutive time in a row, making me one of the very few PADI Course Directors in the whole wide world who have received this rating non stop since it's inauguration and one of 66 that received the rating this year.
Here's part of the email;
Dear Course Director,
Congratulations! Based on your Instructor Development productivity in 2013, you’ve achieved the Platinum Course Director level for 2014. By doing so you've become one of 66 Course Directors worldwide to earn this level of recognition in the Frequent Trainer Program.
It's showtime again and my 3rd PADI IDC of this year has kicked off. I'm back on Gili Air in Indonesia, where I also conducted the previous IDC this year, which was rudely interrupted by me becoming ill and Sander, fellow PADI Course Director and owner of PADI 5* IDC Center 'Oceans 5' on Gili Air, had to take over for a few days. 'Oceans 5' is the only dive center on the Gili islands where two PADI Course Directors are active!

As part of my recovery process, I had to cancel the Khao Lak IDC scheduled in February, but now I'm all good to go again and ready for action and am looking forward to the remainder of this IDC. It seems like a nice group and we're teaching this IDC in a brand new, air conditioned and dedicated IDC classroom! Let the games begin.

Tomorrow Allen will arrive who will staff this IDC and in a few days Arash from the January IDC will join us again
It's an international IDC, as is almost no exception with my programs, with candidates originating from Switzerland, the Netherlands, Australia, Greece, Iran and staff from the USA.
Come and participate in one of my IDC's and find out what these abbreviations mean!
Lilian from the Netherlands and Martin from Norway both passed all 4 parts of the PADI IE and are now PADI Instructors. Well done.
Part of the honor goes to Sander, owner and fellow PADI Course Director, since he took over teaching this January IDC on Gili Air, since I became sick. He's now also out with them on Bali, diving for the specialty instructor ratings.
