It's a good feeling, looking back at a great diver year; 2014! It was fun and successful.
There were 6 IDC's in Thailand with 19 candidates, 4 programs in Indonesia
with 20 candidates, my second program in Osan, South Korea
which was also the second ever Western PADI IDC ever in South Korea, after I taught the first ever Western PADI IDC in South Korea
in 2011 and I'm back teaching IDC programs in the Philippines again, 2 programs with 4 candidates in Moalboal, a slow but sure start of setting up a successful IDC program in the Philippines.
My 2000th logged dive
was also due this year and happened to be in Sacheon-Myeon in South Korea
and ooooh, what was the water cold. I will never forget the upset eyes of my students at 35 meters in 10C water when I gave the let's go up sign after about one minute! Next time I need a 7mm semi dry or dry suit when diving in these conditions!
There was also for the 8th consecutive time my Platinum PADI Course Director rating, which by now makes me one of the few PADI Course Directors in the Asia Pacific region who can boast that he received this rating uninterrupted since it's induction. On top of that there were also 7 'Certificates of Recognition for Excellence' received from PADI, written by some of last years IDC candidates.
There were some countries represented from which I had for the first time students; Norway, Bahamas and Estonia.
