After his first real open water dives on Gili Air in Indonesia back in May
, my son made it very clear that he was ready for some more diving. Due to my busy schedule, id din't have time to follow up on that yet, but this weekend it all worked out.
Dennis before the dive with all the equipment, including my new gear bag!
During last week I organised the tanks and the equipment, so all was set to pick this up yesterday. Dennis still needs extra small size equipment and we got a 6 liter tank for him.
Before we hit the water
This morning all systems were go and the Koh Samui weather
played it's good part as well with sunny skies all over the place!
Just before 9am we hit the road heading for Silver Beach in Crystal Bay near Lamai
. The ocean was flat like a mirror, the equipment set up swiftly and after a good briefing to my son, we were off into the water.
After the dive
We did dive for over an hour and it was the first time that Dennis could enjoy his native Samui underwater world. We saw plenty of small coral reef fish and loads of nice and healthy coral, plenty of different species. We both had a good time and with a healthy and cold fruit shake after the dive, we filled out the log books and off we went again, bringing back the equipment and the tanks.
