PADI IE for June 2013 on Koh Tao is done and dusted

Another 100% score on the PADI IE for Camille's candidates. Ben completely pocketed this June 2013 PADI IE on Koh Tao with very convincing scores.

Tonight is going to be a big party night for Ben and than it's off to his new job as a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor. Well done Ben, congratulations and lots of success in your future Instructor career.

In case you're interested to follow Ben in his footsteps, the next PADI IDC is kicking off 6th July on Malapascua in the Philippines, followed by 31st July on Koh Phangan in Thailand, the 18th August on Gili Air in Indonesia and the 10th of September back again on Malapascua in the Philippines.

EFR Instructor course on Koh Samui

After the June PADI IDC on Koh Samui, we also completed the EFR Instructor course with Ben. He's now all set up and ready to go to Koh Tao for his PADI IE come 25th June, next Tuesday.

We had a fun course including a couple of giggles when completing the skills. The theory and exam were also completed and it's all good now!

The PADI IDC for June 2013 on Koh Samui is in the can

It's done and over with! After an intense but good 10 days, Ben has now completed his PADI IDC  course on koh Samui and Claire is now a PADI IDCS Instructor. Well done, both of you!

Lots of hard work or as it was said in the 'old days', lots of blood sweat and tears were sacrificed to get to this goal. Now it's a matter of staying focused for Ben so he can nail the up and coming PADI IE next week on Koh Tao, between 25 and 27 June.

The 5th 'Certificate of Recognition for Excellence' this year

This time the certificate is coming from John who participated in the April 2013 IDC on Gili Air in Indonesia.

Surprisingly enough, this is already the 5th Certificate of this kind that I receive this year, which is unique for me. Thanks to all of you who took time out to write some nice words about my IDC programs this year; Lendro, Axel and Aurélie, Iggy, Bill and now John!

PADI IDC on Koh Samui for June 2013 is halfway

Time is flying by once more and Ben and Claire have passed the half way mark for their respective IDC and IDCS courses.

The usual ingredients are passing by; skill circuits in confined water, knowledge development presentations, exams, rescue scenarios and curriculum presentations by me among others.

On top of that we have gone through a handful of workshops, like control, CESA in confined water and rescue skills just to name a few with plenty more to come, like; CESA in open water, DSD, descents and ascents.

Besides the actual PADI IDC of Ben, Claire's IDCS course is running simultaneously, which makes it interesting for both of them, to see what each person is up to.

We've got a whole week to go, during which we also will complete the EFR Instructor course.

PADI IDC Staff Instructor course on Koh Samui, June 2013

At last, after a couple of busy days, here's a picture of Claire, in the pool, who's completing her IDC Staff Instructor course on Koh Samui in Thailand.

In May 2011 she completed her PADI IDC with me, also here on Koh Samui and now it turned out to be a very good time to take the next step on the PADI ladder and complete her IDCS course.

PADI IDC June 2013 on Koh Samui, Thailand is on the road

It's showtime again! Since yesterday, Ben from the UK is having a private PADI IDC! Unfortunately one other candidate had to cancel his IDC last week, due to a job proposal back in Europe which he couldn't refuse. Hopefully we will see him back later this year.

He's not completely alone though, Claire, who completed her IDC back in May 2011 is joining him and she's completing her IDCS course.

Indeed, after a few years, it was time for an upgrade and my website does indeed have a new look and a couple of add-ons that weren't available in the old version. Have a look here for the English version or here for the Dutch version.
