September 2010 IDC on Koh Phangan has kicked off

The first IDC I'm conducting outside of Koh Samui has kicked off on Koh Phangan in conjunction with Haad Yao divers. We're using the brand new, air conditioned classroom which has free wifi and a swimming pool on the premises, about 15 meters away from the classroom, if it all.

Joep and Aldo are this months participants and we started off in the usual way with getting a lot of red tape out of the way and exams!

After lunch we did a skill circuit and Rescue exercise # 7, unconscious diver at the surface from the Rescue diver course. This picture sees Joep rescuing Aldo.

Now it's Aldo's turn in this picture and rescue Joep. This first went really smooth and if you check in regularly you will find more updates.
