Specialty of the Month April 2010; Project AWARE Fish ID

Specialty of the Month April 2010; Project AWARE Fish ID

This Project Aware Fish ID is an interesting specialty since it will introduce you to the most common fish families and species found in temperate and tropical waters.
It's PADI's specialty of the month just like last year August.

Singular Banner fish, did you know this?

How much would you like to know the actual name of a fish rather than asking somebody on the boat what that nice black fish with the yellow spots was and as an answer you receive; the yellow spotted black fish! DUH!

A Spotted Lion fish

It's pretty cool if you can 'show off' your knowledge of characteristics of local fish families and species and are familiar with fish survey techniques and strategies and know how to plan, organise and use the correct procedures for Fish identification dives.

A Giant moray eel

Besides learning basic fish identification and scientific survey techniques it will show and teach you how important personal involvement is in aquatic conservation.

A Scorpion fish

The AWARE - Fish Identification Adventure Dive from the Adventures In Diving program credits toward this specialty at the discretion of the instructor and this specialty certification counts as one of the five Specialty course certifications for the PADI Master Scuba Diver certification.

Book this Specialty of the month during this month with us on Koh Samui and you'll receive a 10% discount.
